We are Counting

Hello Flourishes Customers,

If you visit our store you will see something rare…very rare… We Are Closed.  Don’t fret very much as it is only to give us time to count inventory and refresh our store.  Flourishes will close at Midnight CST 30 December and re-open 1 January 2012 just as the tick of the clock says “Happy New Year”.  As  usual we will have our FLIP sale for qualified customers .  If you are not yet a FLIP make the qualifying order of $100.00 of product and get the remainder of the FLIP year’s program coupons and the Limited edition Stamp set, “With Gratitude” only available to FLIP customers.

I want to thank each and every customer of Flourishes for their support through 2011.  We are so grateful.  Our designers have put forth a stellar year of design work.  2012 will bring new art and many other things through the year.  Our 2012 color catalog will be released at CHA during the last week of January.  We are working deligently to have some spectaluar new art and tutorials available for you.

To make room for our new stamps sets, we will retire some of our older sets.  We will notate the stamp sets that will be discontinued and when they are gone, they will gone. So this may be the last chance to order them.

I wish to all the best that 2012 can offer.  It is a new year, and maybe each in our own way we can help to make it a better year for all.   Happy New Year, 2012!

Peace to all!,

Femine Flair Challenge

Hello Stampers,

I missed making the post for Friday,  I am recovering from knee replacement repair and just was not up to it.   So I have mine to share with you today. and hope that you will think it was worth the wait, and a reminder that you still have time to take part in the challenge.

This post is dedicated to very special neices of mine, Gretchen and Michelle.  Gretchen graduated from the University of West Floridia on Saturday and Michelle will graduate this upcoming Saturday from Texas A & M.  I am so proud of these young ladies for their endurance in following their dreams.  Each of the girls will receive their own card varying slightly.  Here is what they will receive.

I used the Laces Edges and Trims which was brought back after many requests for the set.  It is a limited run and when it is gone, the designs will again retire.  I forgot just how pretty this lace edge was and I am truly happy to play with it again.  If you haven’t seen all of the designers beautiful cards, it would be a great time to revisit the hop from last Friday.

I kept the cards very similar, with changes in colors to fit each personality.  I hope they will enjoy their cards as well as the love and best wishes that Mike and I send to them,

Want to take part in the challenge, you still have time.  Here’s how to take on this challenge and have a chance at winning some of our new releases later this week.

HOW TO PLAY: Lace, pearls and flouncy ribbons – these are the things that make up a creation with a truly feminine flair. That’s what is at the heart of this month’s challenge. To enter, let’s see how you add a dose of femininity to your cards or creations! Link your project up here (below using our inlinkz widget). If you upload to SCS, please use the key word FLLCDEC11. Use Flourishes stamps if you have them, but if you don’t please play anyway! The winner will recieve our entire December release. You have until December 16th at 5 PM Easterm time to submit.

Thanks for your visit today.  I am glad you came and hope you went away inspired.

Ciao,

SURPRISE, JULIE

Surprise Ms Julie, Happy, Happy Birthday!!!!!!

We have a great birthday hop planned for you, so grab a cuppa of java and enjoy.  All of the Flourishes designers have a birthday wish to share with you as well.

Most bloggers know Julie for her incredible talent, and many of you know that she is the Senior designer team co-ordinator for Flourishes.  Very few of you know just how  great her influence is here at Flourishes.  To paraphase a piano duet I used to enjoying playing with friends is call “Heart and Soul piano duet” just click on the highlighted area to hear it. Then click back here  (if I have done this correctly)and continue to read.  It was fun to sit on the piano bench and tap out this fun and happy music, full of heart and soul in unison with a great friend and great team work.  This is just perfect for this occasion, enjoy listening to a few bars if you are not familar with the music.

As the owner of Flourishes, I will be the first to tell you that it  takes way more than me for Flourishes , to well, flourish….it takes heart and soul to run this organization.  I would hope that I am the soul and Julie is the heart that keeps us beating and in perfect timing.  She wears many hats, not to mention that she is the director of marketing for FLLC.  I am truly grateful for the head on her shoulders, her “right on” insight, and great steering abilities.  Julie and I along with the Flourishes backbone, Sharon Doolittle and Mike  (my DH) “the shipping guy”, all churns and runs at a great pace.

So join us as we salute Julie on this happy day…..Happy Birthday Julie!  Enjoy.

Here is my card for this happy occasion.

I used Feminine Charms for the Set and the paper is Basic Grey, Little Black Dress.  All the papers except black cardstock and brushed metallic charcoal are from Basic Grey “Little Black Dress” (not yet in the store),  The rosette is made using satin pleats  and Scor-Pal 1/8″ tape and shaped the rossette and a strip along the top of the sentinment. The roses were re stamped on the same paper and then colored with copic markers to highlight them in a bronze and brown.  Kaiser pearls and a tiny piece of brown velevt 1/8″ ribbon are fun touches

Now please join Julie and hop around and see what the designers have created for this great day.

Leave your own birthday wish to Julie below.

 Ciao,
