Hello and welcome to another 10 Minute Thursday creation! It’s me Christine and I had a lot of fun pulling together something pretty with our new Handmade Snowflakes set. It’s easily recreatable in other color palettes, and perfect for quick Christmas designs.
I started with these elements above: Flourishes Classic White Cardstock, several colors of coordinated ink, Eclipse Masking Tape that I tore into two sections, masking off a center open area, and then some sponges to be able to add colour.
I tore the Eclipse masking tape to have the feel of a snowy hill, but you can go any direction you like with the mask. I like having the top and bottom edges mirror one another. Begin by stamping some of the snowflakes and sentiment in various Memento inks using the mask to help partially stamp some of the elements. Add different snowflakes in various sizes and colors until you have the mix that you like.
Next, keeping the mask on, sponge one of your colours onto the centre section of the card stock. If desired you can add a second deeper colour into the edges and corners of the masked area as well. Go as dark or as light as you desire with your sponging.
Then, my favourite part! Pull off the mask to reveal a lovely inked and sponged area that looks so crisp and dramatic against the white cardstock.
And now you can finish your card as desired! I chose to pair it with Cool Gray Neutrals card stock, seam binding, silver mirrored Candi dots, and silver string. Smart and simple! Thanks for joining me today for these quick 10 Minutes!
