Hello!  I’m so honoured to be representing Northern Ireland on the Beautiful World Tour Design Team!  Originally from Alaska in the U.S., I’ve lived  here in Belfast since I married my Northern Irish husband over 25 years ago.  I’ve grown to love the green natural beauty of this island, even if it’s the result of what sometimes feels like non-stop rainy weather!  Though it has a troubled history, I love how we enjoy the best of both Irish and British traditions here.

My husband I have two nearly grown up sons and a little terrier that we adopted from a rescue centre.  I work part time with local churches and as a counsellor.  Since beginning my paper crafting journey about 10 years ago I’ve become completely addicted!  I’m a people person and I love how receiving a card can give someone a lift during hard times, make them laugh, or simply brighten their day.  Flourishes products are among my very favourites with such beautiful images and fabulous sets!  I’ve enjoyed all of  the inspiration and friendship I’ve found on-line in the paper crafting community.  It’s on my bucket list to do a world tour and meet some of my sweet friends who live around the globe!

Now we’re ready to jet set across the globe, to hear from our fabulous hostess this month, the lovely Sasha!!

Hello everyone, it’s Sasha here. I’m this months hostess for the Beautiful World Tour…
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about the part of England where I live. Some of you may be familiar with the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, Haworth, (The Bronte’s), and the Lake District (Beatrix Potter). I am fairly close to all of them, and spend time there during the summer months. They all have rugged landscapes, with beautiful scenery. So, not too far for me to travel and enjoy what I personally think is the best of England’s green and pleasant land.

This month I have asked my team mates to create a bookmark, using beautiful Flourishes stamps. I sometimes attach a bookmark to match my greetings cards. I think they make a great little gift.

For my bookmark I used Botanical Bookplates Vol 1 set of stamps, along with the coordinating Tailor-Made Classic Bookplate Die. I also cut two slightly larger layers by hand and coloured them to coordinate. I then layered my bookplate on top. Finally, I topped my bookmark with a butterfly from Spellbinders Les Papillion’s Two dies. I coloured my violets with markers, and sponged some purple ink onto the butterfly.
