It’s Time For 10-Minute Thursday!

10minutecreations Graphic

Hello Flourishes fans!  Today it’s Christine here to bring you a lovely design that has the wow factor, but really takes only a few minutes to create.  Which we all can appreciate right?

I began by inking up this beautiful Orchids stamp set with VersaMark ink and stamping onto our Flourishes Color Made Easy – Emerald Coast cardstock, it’s really nice because it has some texture to it, which is great with a Clean and Simple design.  Then I embossed the image with white embossing powder.  And for the extra wow factor, I took my Copic Marker from the Emerald Coast Collection and adding in some shading, tone on tone to the orchids.  Now, you always want to be careful when using copics over anything that could clog your nib, like embossing, so I say proceed carefully, but it really gives you a great effect.  This style works really well with monochromatic designs of any colour.  You just need a marker to match that’s a bit deeper than your paper to give you the shading.
Finally, a little seam binding to match from the Emerald Coast line, and a little bit of Icing Sugar Candi to accent the white from the embossing.  All within 10 minutes!
Hope you enjoyed this design and will try it for yourself!

It only took you 10 minutes but it would probably take me 30! Gorgeous card and great technique. TFS! I am pinning this so I can try something like this in the future. I have some beautiful rose stamps I could use for this technique.
