Howdy all and happy Monday to everyone! I’m Ally and I’m your host for Stamps & Scraps!
This month I thought we’d explore the wonderful world of TOILE! Toile you say!?!? What is toile?
Now that you know what toile is, let’s create some toile of our very own!

For my layout below, I first took a piece of artist’s canvas paper and I stamped the cherry image from the Flourishes Peaches and Cherries stamp set all over the painted side of the linen canvas paper.
I then took a few shades of grey Copic markers from the Tonal Neutrals Collection and coloured some shading on my cherry images to give them a little bit more “pop power” on my page.
I carefully tore the edges off of the canvas paper to have them look frayed and worn. I mounted and sewed my toile paper to a piece of black cardstock and then mounted everything on a piece of light lavender paper.

supplies: stamps, Flourishes (Peaches and Cherries, Fanciful Flourishes); canvas paper, Fredrix; cardstock, Bazill; stickers, Crate Paper; snowflakes, Recollections; letter stickers, Cosmo Cricket; ink, Copic, Memento, Ranger; flowers, leaves, Prima; canvas pennants, large ribbon flowers, Maya Road; other, thread, twine, staples, gems, pins.
Here are a few close ups of some of my page details…
The little canvas pennants have been stamped with a subtle damask stamp in green from the Flourishes Fanciful Flourishes stamp set.
A cluster of different flowers, pretty leaves and a touch of twine…
See how easy you can make toile paper all by yourself? Super easy stamping! One ink colour, one stamp, one back ground colour and you’re set!
I hope you’ll try making your own toile on your next paper project!
Have a great Monday everyone!
