Timeless Tuesday #149

It’s Beate, and it’s time for me to host Timeless Tuesday again. I had so much fun creating a Telescoping image card for Splitcoaststampers a while back, so I thought it would be a great challenge for today. Flourishes stamps are perfect for this technique. I wrote a quick tutorial.

Step 1:

Stamp your image at least two times. Find nested dies you want to use for this technique.

Hint: If you don’t have nested dies, you can always hand cut the different layers.

Step 2:
Cut one of your images with your largest and smallest die. Use the smallest die cut as a guide on your second image to center your medium die. Cut the second image.
Step 3:
Cut the second image.

Step 4:
Color your images. Color the smallest layer completely. You only need to color the largest layers where the image will show after you stack the layers on top of each other.
Step 5:
Adhere layers on top of each other. I used dimensional adhesive.
For my sample I used the gorgeous new Pears stamp set. It was stamped on white cardstock in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, cut with Label 3 Nestabilities dies and colored with Copic Markers.  The edges of the layers were sponged with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress ink and the edges of the biggest layer were sewn before the layers were adhered with dimensionals.
I adhered the image layers on a piece of Kraft cardstock cut and embossed with the largest of the Postage Stamp Nestabilities dies. A paper doily, MME paper and May Arts ribbon finish off the card.

Now, take a peek at what the other Timeless Tuesday designer have created for today…
