Hello, and happy holidays eveyryone! It’s Maki, and it’s my turn to host this week’s Timeless Tuesday challenge. My challenge is Opposites Attract! I want you to use the same image and make two cards/projects with two totally different looks, styles, theme or colors. For example, you can make one card clean and simple and one with lots of layers, one feminine and one masculine, monochromatic and lots of colors, for a child and adult, for birthday and sympathy, etc. Anyway you think they are totally different or opposite.
For my cards, I used Sweet Violets and made one card with a CAS-style and one with a lot of layers. I also did one card with no coloring and the other with coloring. For the CAS card, I adhered the green border strips on the top and bottom of the card after stamping the violet. Then I stamped the sentiment and embellished with the ribbon & swirl pearls. For the a-lot-of-layers card, I colored the image with Copic markers and sponged the background with Distress Inks. The cards were designed with the same cardstock and designer papers. The sentiment mat was created with Tailor-Made Classic Keyhole Die. To finish off, I embellished with the same ribbon and swirl pearls I used for the CAS card.
