Timeless Tuesday #142

Hi everyone,

It’s Beate and it’s my turn to be the Timeless Tuesday hostess for today. I love the Out of the Box Technique and use it quite frequently for bigger images. So that’s my challenge for you today. Create a card with the out of the box technique. You don’t need to have Nestabilities to create this look. If you don’t have any, draw a shape around your image, cut it out, and cut out the part that hangs out with scissors.

For my sample I stamped the raspberries from the gorgeous Berry Sweet stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Flourishes Classic White cardstock. For more details on my card design, please visit my blog.

It was an honor to have Rosemary Dennis join us as Guest Designer last month… weren’t her designs amazing?  This month, we’re very happy to welcome Miriam Napier as our November Guest Designer!  We know you’re going to love what she has to share with you all month!

Now, take a peek at what the other Timeless Tuesday designer have created for today…

HOW TO PLAY: Everyone can PLAY and anyone can WIN! Each week Flourishes draws one lucky name for a $10 gift code to the Flourishes store! Here’s how you can win…

  • Create a new card or paper-crafted project fitting the challenge and link it up using the Inlinkz widget provided below.
  • Include a link back to this challenge in your blog post or gallery upload.
  • Leave some love for the Timeless Tuesday designers by commenting on their blogs, then come back here and let us know you fulfilled the requirements!

One random winner will be picked from all of the comments to win the weekly prize.  Of course, if you have Flourishes stamps, by all means, use them.  If you don’t, please play anyway!  You have until next Monday at 6 PM EST to enter!  Please, when you use the Inlinkz widget below, be sure to use the actual link to your Timeless Tuesday post instead of a general blog link – we want to make sure we can find your creations!  Also, if you upload to SCS, please use the keyword FTTC142!  We hope you make time for play time this week!

We had 34 entries for Makiko’s Leafy Challenge from last week, and 17 comments left indicating that participants had left their comments on the design team blogs and linked their entry.  So our random winner is lucky #17, Dee!  Dee, please email Tammy at FlourishesTTC[at]gmail[dot]com for your prize code!  Congratulations, and thanks to everyone who joined in!

Can’t wait to see your creation!

~Beate

I was put onto this challenge when I made a comment as a DT for another challenge. I had been wondering for ages how the ‘out of the box’ technique was done and after seeing Silke’s entry into our challenge I had to find out more. Love all the4 DT cards and the stamps are just fabulous. xx
