Hi everyone! It’s Beate. Today is the first time I get to be the hostess for the Timeless Tuesday challenge. I am very excited. My challenge is easy. Create a shaped card. Anything other than the regular (and sometimes boring) 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card size.
I love making circle and oval cards but for my sample, I made another petal card. Splitcoaststampers posted my tutorial for the petal card last week. I couldn’t wait to make another one, this time softer than the Halloween card I had made before.
I started out with cutting and embossing Kraft cardstock with the largest of the Eyelet Circle Nestabilities. I created four circles for my card base.
Next I cut two white cardstock circles as well as two slightly smaller MME Lost & Found Blush Paper circles with Classic Circle Nestabilities. The regular circles were cut in half and the patterned paper circles were stitched to the white half circles.
The Kraft circles were scored in half and the half circles were adhered to one half of each circle. Then the circles were adhered together to create a Petal card base.
White Crochet Lace was stitched to a 1 7/8″ x 10″ strip of MME Lost & Found 2 paper before it was adhered together to create my belly band. White Silk Ribbon was tied around and topped with a pink button.
A white piece of cardstock was cut and embossed with the second largest of the Beaded Circle Nestabilities. One of the sentiments from the Zinnias stamp set was stamped in Rich Cocoa Memento ink in the center of the circle. The circle was sponged with Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress ink and the Zinnia head image was stamped to the lower right of the sentiment circle with Antique Linen ink. Part of a pearl swirl on the lower right of the sentiment panel and on the upper right of the Petal card base finish off the card front.

For the inside a 1 1/4″ x 3 3/4″ strip of MME Lost & Found paper was adhered to a 3 3/4″ square of white cardstock. The corners were rounded before the layers were stitched to a 3 15/16″ square of brown cardstock, that had each corner rounded as well.
The Zinnia bunch was stamped over the layers with Antique linen on the right hand side. On the left bottom of the paper strip another sentiment was stamped with Rich Cocoa Memento ink.
