Look who is in the ‘Limelight?’

New Limelight Designer Logo

What a fabulous March we had here on Sundays with the ever-so-talented Kelly Lunceford. I don’t know about you, but I just loved each and every project she ushered in each Sunday. I love the vintage and sweet feel of her creations. I have to say, I was definitely inspired! If you ever want to find Kelly on the web, all you need to do is click on over to her blog — Flutter by Atomic Butterfly – for a bevy of creative fun! Thanks again Kelly for sharing your time and talents with us!

Want to see who’s in the Limelight for April???? Introducing…..

Tracy Harp

It’s Tracy Harp of Inky Doodles!! I have to say, when I visit Tracy’s blog, I could spend hours just looking at the beautiful way she colors up images. Once of the first times I stopped by, I immediately thought — wow — I would love to see what she does with Flourishes stamps! I am dying to see what she comes up with this month!

To get ready for her big reveal, we asked Tracy to share a little bit about herself… in her own words!

My name is Tracy Harp and I was so excited and humbled when Julie invited me to be a Limelight Designer. I have been happily married to my husband, Greg, for almost 17 years and we have 2 sons, Josh, 14 and Kaleb, 12 (he quickly reminds me that he’s almost 13!). We live near Niagara Falls, NY, moving here 4 years ago when Greg was called to serve as associate pastor of a church. I work for the county as a service coordinator in the Early Intervention Program, helping families who have young children with a disability or delay.

Being a wife to a pastor, a mom and having a full time job consume most of my time but a girl has to have outlets!  For me, stamping has been an outlet for almost 10 years. Although I never considered myself gifted in art (just ask any of my former art teachers, lol), stamping has allowed me to find my inner artist. I love playing with stamps, papers, inks and various other things, combining them to create cards and gifts to share. When it comes to having a particular style, well…I don’t.  I enjoy too many different kinds of products, techniques, and styles to keep to one thing. As a result you will find my work to include vintage, whimsical, clean and distressed. There is one style I DON’T do, and that is ornate. I admire those who create lovely, ornate projects but at the heart of it I am not a frilly, girly-girl. This craft has blessed me in so many ways, including being on the Dirty Dozen and other Design Teams, and most certainly with the wonderful people I have met along the way.

My other outlet is being in the kitchen, cooking, baking or canning. Nothing beats a jar of canned peaches in the middle of winter! I wish there were more hours in the day.

I am excited to “cook” up some Flourishes projects for you this month!

And we, Tracy, are excited to see what you “cook up!” For the rest of you in blog land, that’s a hint of what you might find when you hop on over to the Flourishes blog tomorrow for Tracy’s first post! I’ve gotten a peek and I have to tell you — it’s delish in more ways than one! So, be sure to come on back and see for yourself!
