Happy Easter!! Since I am married to a pastor, Easter for our family is one of those “high” church days. Church will be filled with people dressed in their finest, the services will ring with regal music and trumpets and the aroma of lilies and hyacinths will fill the air. It is a day to celebrate all of our blessings.
This particular Sunday also marks the end of my time as Limelight Designer. I am so grateful to be offered this opportunity to share with you throughout the month of April. I truly enjoyed my time! So, considering it is Easter and my last post, I thought it was appropriate to make this card.
The Hello Hyacinth set is perfect for this time of year. Don’t hyacinths evoke happiness? They are such a beautiful and fragrant plant and they remind me that spring is here, or for those of us in the northeast, that spring is on its way. I love how the size of this image fills a card.
I was in a vintage kind of mood when I created this card so I chose my papers and colors to reflect a subdued/aged feel. Copics were my medium of choice for the coloring. The vase has as healthy coat of Glossy Accents over top to create the look of glass. When it was finished I just felt compelled to add a bit of sparkle.
Here is a close up of the blooms. I stamped the image a second time, coloring and cutting out several individual blooms to add dimension. I originally tried to adhere the blooms with foam tape but they sat up too high. Silicone glue was a better solution, giving just the right amount of lift.
Grateful. A good word for today. Actually, a good word for every day! Thank you for allowing me to share a bit of my creativity with you this month! I am so grateful.

This is beautiful Tracy. I want to thank you for the wonderful inspiration that you have shared with us this month. You and your creations have been wonderful.

Your coloring of the hyacinth is just so wonderfully life like. I had to see the close ups to really check out the coloring. It is marvelous! Love the look!
Hi Tracy, I have been following your blog for at least a year and this would have to be my favourite card you have made in that time. The colouring, the glossy vase and the die cut edge are so nice! Hugs from south Australia.
Tracy,
As always you move the bar up a notch. I love getting inspired by your cards no matter where I find them. The coloring and the sparkle just make me think of Spring in the early morning.
