It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC101)! Boy was last weekend’s blog hop a blast! We can’ t believe all the beautiful entries that came in and Betty already said she’s going to have her hands full trying to pick winners! Stay tuned and look for the winner’s post coming your way on Thursday!!
Now, on to this week’s challenge! Dee Jackson is our lovely challenge host and she challenged us all to GO BIG! The challenge is to create an oversized card… something that is at least 5 by 7″! BIG is in! We can’t wait to see what you create!
Moving on to Dee’s creation! She added a splash of color to her mostly white card by using the gorgeous apple blossom brach stamp from the Apple Of My Eye stamp set. Add a lovely sentiment from the Life Lines set, and you’ve got the start of something beautiful! Both were stamped with Tuxedo Black ink on Flourishes Classic White card stock. The main image was colored using Copics. The sentiment is stamped on the largest Spellbinders’ Lacey Circle die. Add a layer of texture thanks to an embossing folder and… you’ve created a white on white creation that really makes that apple POP! Beautiful work Dee!

After two years of leading the team, our own Betty Wright is taking a step back to be a team member. Betty has done a fabulous job leading the Timeless Tuesday challenges. It was her idea to jump start Timeless Tuesday and since the first challenges two years ago, she’s really catapulted this challenge into one that has a great following! Being a part of a family company though, we know how important it is to put family first and so we understood when Betty said she had to slow things down. Thankfully, she’s sticking with us and will continue to WOW us all with her Timeless Tuesday creations!
With Betty stepping down from the leader’s post, we not only found a new team member but a leader too! Meet your new Timeless Tuesday Head Honcho i.e. Team Coordinator!
Tammy is not only a super duper talented artist, she is a “familiar face” here at Flourishes! She’s been in the ‘limelight’ as one of our Limelight Designers and she’s been a regular here during the Timeless Tuesday Challenges! We know she’ll continue to bring a fun flair to each Tuesday challenge and she’s got some ideas up her sleeve that she plans to put into action over the next few weeks! So, be sure to keep watch, ,it’s going to be a fun-filled ride!
