Hi all and happy August to you all! The summer is sure flying by… isn’t it??? With a new month comes an opportunity to welcome a new designer to take over our space here on the web each Sunday. We love ushering in new creative talents with our Limelight Designer because it really helps us see Flourishes in a new light — each and every week!
With August, we send a fond farewell and a big wave to Jackie Pedro. I just loved seeing Jackie’s fresh and easy approach. I say easy because week in and week out, she really makes her design style look easy with a cool and casual feel. That’s talent when you can make beauty look effortless!
And now…. to our next talented designer that will be joining us for August!
Melody, who’s home on the web is A Paper Melody, has such a distinct style – it’s color and fabulous design with a bit of posh mixed in. Her creations have such a feminine flair with ruffles, lace, and plenty of bling! To get ready for her big reveal, we asked her to share a few words about her stamping life.
I am just so thrilled to be the Limelight Designer for the month of August! I was so surprised when Julie emailed me! I love Flourishes elegant style. The images just fit my stamping style so well! I am married to a wonderful man, who at least “kinda” gets the stamping thing! I have four daughters, one who is a teacher and is married, and three who are in college. I work full time in the accounting field, managing grants that address issues in Early Childhood Development and Children with Special needs. I have always been crafty. I learned to sew when I was in my teens and I still have the simple scrapbooks I made in high school. I started making family scrapbooks when my children were young. I discovered stamping about three years ago. Once I discovered Splitcoaststampers and all the online shopping, tutorials, challenges, forums, and blogs, I was hooked. I have to say that the best part of stamping has been all the friends I have made who share my love for all things paper. I am looking forward to sharing my projects with you this month.
