Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC68)!

 Timeless Tuesday New Logo

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC68)! Thanks so much to all of you for playing in last week’s “chipboard” challenge. Remember, you have until the end of the month to play any and all of the challenges during the month of May as we pick a monthly winner, too! You may want to check out FTTC65, FTTC66, FTTC67 to find out more about those challenges!  A May monthly winner will be chosen next week!  The weekly winner is announced below!

It is the end of the month so we have us a challenge host!  This month’s challenge host is Velta Wesson.   Thanks so much for hosting with us, Velta!  Velta is challenging us to “make our own flowers”!  I know you have seen all of these wonderful dimensional homemade flowers being used everywhere.  Now is your chance to make your very own and sport them on your cards, too!   They look quite amazing, but they really are not that hard to do!  You can use any thing from paper to lace to create your flowers.  However, if you would like to see a few tutorials from SCS on paper roses, rolled flowers, or tissue flowers, just check out the links.  Also, Dawn Burnworth, has also done a tutorial on ribbon flowers here.   Whichever form of flower you choose to create, we would love to have you play along with us!  Remember to link your card with the Inlinkz system  below for you chance to win a $10 store gift certificate.

Here is the card Velta made with her “make your own flowers’ challenge!

Velta is using A Year of Flowers 2  and Many Sentiments stamp sets.  Velta silver embossed her flower and sentiment.   She colored her flower with  Flourishes Copic Color Collection.   For the “make your own flower” challenge, she layered various sizes of tissue paper and scrunched them up to create her lovely flower which she added to some rich silk ribbon.  She layered her colored image with a sparkly spellbinders frame.  She finished with a few touches of clear rhinestones.   More details can be found at her blog post!   Also, check out the other blog team designers to see what we created with “make your own flowers” challenge!
